Here is a very rare little matchbox cover depicting the DAF’s (German Labour Front) cogged wheel logo over the people’s car, the Volkswagen Beetle. 
This was a gift from the VW factory in 1938 to the workers. It’s made of thin steel or zinc and has the raised depiction on its front with the words “Grundsilegung des Volkswagen Werks Mai 1938.”
