Longueteau - Symphonie, Concerto + Prélude - 70cl - 3 bottles

Old rum from Guadeloupe, pure red sugar cane, blended from several vintages and aged in French oak barrels. Longueteau Symphonie Batch 10 rum, like its predecessor, is a blend of different aged agricultural rums aged over three years. The cellar master selected vintages aged in ex-Cognac oak barrels and new oak barrels. Longeteau's Harmonie range represents a progression in maturity and complexity: Prélude introduces the house's new oaky style, still somewhat young, with a focus on new oak and a strong white rum character. Symphonie reveals a mature oaky character and a rum that is beginning to age, without losing the freshness of the sugar cane. Concerto is by far the oldest of the three, with a refined oaky character, mellow notes, and a generous texture. With Concerto, the Longuetau house has created a very old—and elegant—rum from its Harmonie collection. With an ambitious roadmap: to create the perfect pairing. Made from a blend of several vintages over six years old, aged in cognac and new oak barrels, this agricultural rum from Guadeloupe is the result of meticulous selection. The tasting plays its part perfectly: woody and salted caramel notes blend with fruitier flavors, particularly on the finish. It's all delicacy and nuance. We are faced with an enveloping and sophisticated aged rum. This Concerto cuvée is produced in small, numbered series of 1,400 bottles per batch. The rum was bottled at cask strength, meaning without reduction, and has an alcohol content of 48.7%.
