Psyche (the person): This is a famous story about a royal daughter, so beautiful that the goddess Aphrodite became jealous. Aphrodite ordered her son, Eros (the god of love), to make Psyche fall in love with a monster. However, Eros himself fell in love with Psyche and visited her at night. Treatment by Aphrodite: Psyche was forced to perform difficult tasks by Aphrodite, but eventually became immortal and could thus be reunited with Eros.
