Lettre autographe signée d'Eugène Labiche, datée du 11 juin 1873 à Paris, rédigée à l'encre noire sur un double feuillet de papier vergé, avec entête gaufré de ses initiales "E L". 

Enveloppe jointe timbrée et cachetée du 11 juin 1873 à Paris.  

Labiche demande à son correspondant d'apporter son travail sur un projet commun (probablement Les Trente millions de Gladiator, 1875) avant qu'il ne parte en cure thermale au Mont-Dore. 

"Mon cher ami, 
Je pars mercredi prochain pour le Mont Dore. Apportez moi lundi sans faute ce que vous aurez écrit de notre grande pièce. Je ne sais si le traitement des eaux, qui est rendu, me permettra de travailler, mais il est toujours bon d'emporter des provisions. Tout à vous.
Avez-vous pu recommander mon peintre, Henri Burgers à quelqu'un ?"
