In large crown 8vo, handsomely bound in the new form of hard back green art linen cloth, shagreen style textured bevelled boards impressed with fairy scenes and black noir accents along with an impressed gilt top, sides, text & decorations.

Featuring 8 stunning original fine black and eight copper plate etching page illustrations signed with symbols and illustrators monogram

Very Good, clean, solid copy, former owner name at top of frontis page otherwise unmarked, frontispiece and vignette, Some scuffing to leather corners and leather on front and rear covers, spine nice and bright. Very light page edge foxing throughout but mainly to front and end pages which dissipates throughput the middle. One slight page edge tear and one page edge creased. 
A fine copy and example of this scarce highly sought after original early first edition luxury bound 

Original binders label pasted to inside rear board, a Fleet Street company, over obscured by a later pasted Royal library collection label for the “Royal Library Malvern”, a prestigious early 19th century collective and literary establishment of note

The Grade II-listed property on Worcester Road was built as a library in 1818 for visitors to the town and received its ‘Royal’ name following a visit by the then Princess Victoria in 1830.
