Good condition of the binding, the work in its superb polychrome card binding of the type "aux feuilles d'acanthe" (Magnier et ses Fils), handsome front cover but the golds almost worn at the title, back cover with a whitish stain, trace of former restoration at the lower headcap, golds on the spine present but a little dull, rubbing from use, gilded edges, smooth spine adorned, titling and author name in gold, black frames around the second cover with a black motif at the center -

Good interior condition, browning, first endpaper missing, enriched with a frontispiece, 6 chromotypographies, 5 black in-text illustrations and fine black in-text illustrations, blue endpapers in good condition -
