Set of three bone tools - Abelam and Sepik - Papua New Guinea (No Reserve Price)
For Sale:
Three ancient bone tools originating from the Abelam and Sepik regions of Papua New Guinea. Each piece shows remarkable craftsmanship and deep age-related character, with a rich, shiny honey patina that testifies to long handling and ceremonial use.
These tools were acquired many years ago from an old German private family collection and have since been carefully preserved. The forms and surface textures display the refined aesthetic and symbolic sensibility typical of Abelam and Sepik material culture.
All three items are of museum quality — authentic, undisturbed, and visually striking examples of early Papuan craftsmanship.
