SAE - Mark IXB - Equalizer Solid state preamplifier

SAE Mark IX B: vintage preamplifier with seven-band graphic equalizer at 8 or 26 db, stereo, solid state, with two inputs for turntables, two line inputs, two for tape recorders, headphone input, tape connection also external with jack; the device works at 220V even if the rear plate reports 110V. Produced in 1973-74 and sold at retail for $450. According to many experts, SAE produced excellent equipment both for sound quality and for construction quality, comparable to McIntosh, Marantz. Jim Bongiorno was one of the main designers (famous for Marantz, GAS and Ampzilla). Before putting it on sale I had it checked by a technician who found some problems that he solved (Replaced preamp transistors output stage left and right channels, replaced power capacitors, cleaned switches and potentiometers.
