This semi-automatic Technics SL‑1710 Direct-Drive turntabel is in very good, fully functional condition and received a complete service in October 2025. The SL-1710 is heavy built, semi-automatic and offers an automatic return at the end of the record, or by pulling the stop-lever. Speed control and speed selection are done easily through it's top-panel controls. The strobe-light allows detailed pitch control. During servicing, the entire mechanism and all moving parts were cleaned, lubricated, and calibrated. Speed is stable, and all mechanical functions operate smoothly. The tonerarm drops gently. Mounted is a Technics EPC-271C‑ES cartridge with its stylus in excellent tested condition. Included are the original rubber mat and the standard 7" adapter. Also included are printed versions of the user manual and product brochure. Cosmetically, the unit is clean, consistent with a history of careful use. The darkgrey base shows tiny white marks here and there, as to be identified on the photos, and some other mild signs of handling. The dustcover feels smooth and is fully intact while it shows overall light signs of use. The cover leaves a somewhat clouded-acryllic impression. The hinges operate properly. This turntable will be packaged with care – in a strong box, with protective padding and secure support for all components – based on extensive experience in shipping vintage audio gear.
