This is an exquisite set of four identical, authentic examples of the "Cadre Montparnasse" style in French, dating approximately to the decade of 1960. These marcos combine the timeless quality of golden wood  with the textual sobriety of natural linen, creating a contained, sophisticated aesthetic. Its profile is characterized by being width and deep, typical of the models used in the first half of the 20th century, but with the lineal lens that it adapts perfectly to the modern sensitivity of the postwar. The ornamentation is intentionally useful, prioritizing the mass and the neutral color in the sculptural detail, as well as a piece that is marked without competing with the item it contains.

The versatility and modern classicism of these Montparnasse frames have inimitable qualities to realize the work of the "School of Paris" - from the lyrical abstraction to the expressive figure -, proportioning a historical context and a material that complements the art of the midcentury. Alternately, its robust presence and its gold and linen panel fit into the ideal support for the installation of mirrors, adding a French elegant bourgeois sobriety to any interior design.
