Obv.: Jugate busts of Bahram II, wearing winged crown with korymbos, and queen with boar’s-head headdress; facing bust of crown prince in armor, bonnet surmounted by eagle’s head. Pahlavi legend around.
Rev.: Fire altar with attendants; Pahlavi legends “Fire of Bahram”; Faravahar symbol in left field.
A rare and impressive triple-portrait issue, emphasizing dynastic legitimacy and Zoroastrian divine sanction. Attractive surfaces with strong detail.
