Elegant Silver-Plated Cruet Set with Cut Glass Jars – J.B. Chatterley & Sons Ltd – England, Circa 1935

An elegant English silver-plated cruet set by J.B. Chatterley & Sons Ltd, comprising two square-cut glass jars with matching stoppers, housed in a refined silver-plated frame with ball feet and a central carrying handle. The set includes two original small forks, fitting neatly into the circular holder at the front – a charming and practical detail typical of Art Deco-era tableware. Each glass jar is of high-quality cut and polished glass, featuring faceted bodies and domed lids with ground inner rims. The holder is decorated with a delicate pierced gallery pattern and finished with a high sheen silver plate.

Stamped on the underside: “J.B.C & S LTD – E.P.N.S – Made in England – 8”, identifying the maker as J.B. Chatterley & Sons Ltd, active in Birmingham from the early 20th century and renowned for their fine silver-plated and sterling table accessories. A stylish, complete, and decorative set – perfect for collectors of Art Deco silver plate, or as a refined touch for the modern dining table.

Very good vintage condition. Light surface wear and minor signs of age consistent with careful use. Glasses in excellent order, with no chips or cracks. Silver plate bright and clean with slight patina.

Carefully packaged and shipped with tracking and full insurance.
