A beautiful set of 8 glasses in the Montcenis model, considered a “brother” of the famous Caton model, which emerged around the same time in the 19th century. Montcenis features slightly taller walls while maintaining the same elegant cut design: fluted sides with a smooth, buttoned stem, highlighting the craftsmanship of early French crystal. Montcenis design remained as a distinct, yet closely related model, reflecting the refinement and artistry of early to mid-19th-century French crystal. After the classic model who’s is « Caton » was produced by both Baccarat and other French crystal houses, sharing the same catalog. These glasses are in excellent condition, appearing as if they were new. Unsigned, dating from production before 1936.
