A very fine Ancient Roman bronze antoninianus of Probus. The obverse features the radiate and cuirassed bust of Probus facing right. The legend reads IMP PROBVS PF AVG. The reverse features a trophy between two captives. The accompanying legend reads VICTORIA GERM, with the mintmark R-thunderbolt-A in the exergue. This coin was likely minted in Rome, in AD 280.
