A stunning original oil on board artwork painted by the renowned artist Paul Beauvais. Sympathetically framed the painting reflects a modern representation of the masters of impressionism.
Born in 1966 in London, England of French descent, Paul Beauvais is a fourth generation artist.  His self- developed style employs the use of thick impasto, often broken and skewed to reveal rich earthy tones underneath.  His influences include Cezanne, the impressionists, and some of the later cubist and fauvist artists.

Great grandfather, Charles Henri Beauvais (1862-1909) is listed in Benezit and was a well-known French lithographer.  Grandfather Arnold Beauvais (1866-1984), also listed in Benezit, was the one time president of the London Sketch Club.  Father Walter Beauvais (1942-1998) was an English painter with paintings in two royal collections
