I am offering in this auction a rare reel-to-reel tape recorder from AIWA TP 50R, made in Japan in the mid-1960s. The device is in good external condition considering its age — around 60 years old. It has been tested and all mechanical functions such as play, rewind, and others are working properly. Unfortunately, I don’t have a suitable tape to test the sound, but I believe it works since I heard a hissing sound from the speaker when pressing the play button. The fast-play and slow-speed functions also work perfectly. The device runs on two C-size batteries and one flat 9V battery. The device comes with two original Aiwa reels (see photos).
