Canon’s first camera featuring a built-in flash. On the front of the camera, the flash is on the upper right corner. When necessary, the user can pop-up the flash manually. The camera uses the CAT System which sets the flash aperture automatically according to the subject distance, film speed, and flash output.

The camera has a coincidence rangefinder for focusing, fully automatic program EE, and date imprinting (the mechanism is in the lens barrel like the Datematic). When the shutter button is pressed halfway after the film advances, the date is displayed at the bottom center of the viewfinder. (The date is imprinted on the lower right corner of the picture.) In Japan, the camera was nicknamed “Nighter” which refers to night baseball games.


Good condition. Normal traces of use and age. Could benefit from some cleaning.
The item comes directly from an inheritance. I tested it and everything works as it should. The camera back seals are a bit worn/damaged and should be replaced. Batteries not included.
