Figurine Iginga  anthropomorphe.

Figurine d’initiation du Bwami 
Bois dense.
Cauris.
Tête en forme de losange.* 
Bras tronqués.**
Pieds entaillés faisant penser à des pattes d'éléphant.
Patine brun foncé légèrement satinée.
Esthétiquement intéressante  , le losange de la tête est rappelé dans les épaules et dans les jambes dans de belles proportions. Belle expression.

Anciennes fissures de dessiccation. 
Ancienneté : XXe siècle.
*La forme de la tête dans les figurines Lega (maginga, kalimbangoma, etc.) n’est jamais un simple détail esthétique.Selon Daniel P. Biebuyck, Elisabeth Cameron et Marc Léo Félix, la tête en losange  exprime à la fois une origine stylistique régionale et une intention symbolique liée à la pensée du Bwami.
-La tête en losange appartient généralement au style de la région  Shabunda / Itombwe,
-L'artiste abstrait volontairement la tête pour épurer l’humain, comme le fait le sage initié qui se débarrasse des “formes inutiles”.Cette abstraction progressive est un langage visuel du Bwami : plus la forme est schématique, plus elle traduit un état moral élevé.
** Les bras à peine indiqués ou totalement absents de ces figurines simplifiées, parfois appelées kalimbangoma, renvoient  à des idées morales de retenue et de maîtrise de soi. 
Ces deux éléments se retrouvent dans la figurine.
