Een gebrandschilderde opaline voorstelling van Sint Jozef met kindje Jezus 
die een lelie in de hand heeft.
Jozef was timmerman van beroep zijn gereedschap ligt linksonderin een 
zaag en een hamer.
Patroonheilige van het huis en het gezin, aannemers en ingenieurs,
meubelmakers en schrijnwerkers.
Gesigneerd rechtsonderin met HP '51, Hendrik van Paridon.
Geschilderd op 12 stukjes opaline glas en voorzien van een houten omlijsting.
Op de achterzijde een ophangmogelijkheid.
Afmeting 31 x 19,5 x 1,9 cm.
Gewicht 883 gram.

Rond 1905 openden de broers Pieter (1876), Peter (1885) en 
Hendrik Van Paridon (1887) een atelier in de Rozenstraat 52 in de Jordaan, waar zij 
gipsbeelden maakten van componisten en mythologische figuren. 
Later gingen de Van Paridons, afkomstig uit een katholieke familie uit Baarn, over 
op religieus beeldhouwwerk. 
Na het overlijden van Peter van Paridon in 1928 openden de twee overgebleven broers
in mei 1929 de winkel op de N.Z. Voorburgwal onder de 
naam ‘Van Paridon’s Religieuze Kunsthandel’. 

Kruisbeeld / crucifix van gebrandschilderd opaline glas.
Het betreft Christus aan het kruis met bovenin INRI.
Gevat in een houten lijst.
Gezet met 6 stukken opaline glas.
Ongesigneerd.
Op de achterzijde een ophangoog.
Van ca. 1950.
Afmeting 23 x 18 x 2 cm.
