The art of wine in the Pepe family has been handed down over time from father to son and now to daughters (Sofia and Daniela) for four generations. The company is located in the countryside of Torano Nuovo, a village located on a hill overlooking the valley of the Vibrata stream about 30 kilometers from the city of Teramo facing the peaks of Gran Sasso.

The 8 hectare vineyard is cultivated personally by Emidio Pepe according to organic/biodynamic methods, that is, in short, without the use of chemical products. The harvest is carried out by hand and the white Trebbiano d'Abruzzo grapes are pressed with the feet. The destemming of the grapes takes place by hand, after the selection bunch by bunch.

The fermentation is carried out in concrete tanks with natural yeasts without the addition of sulfur dioxide and then refined in the bottle for 5,10, 20 years, without being filtered. Produced from organically grown grapes.

Trebbiano, like Montepulciano, is an ancient and native vine of our areas. It is an elegant and refined wine with great aging capacity. Its beautiful acidity combined with the aromatic balance make it a fine but complex wine at the same time. The proximity to the Gran Sasso guarantees us beautiful temperature variations which favor the development of the aromas and the proximity to the Adriatic Sea favorably influences the grapes, always giving a strong mineral tone and a nice flavor to our Trebbiani.
