Pioneer's latest direct drive turntable offers an even more versatile vinyl solution for DJing or listening to music comfortably at a competitive price. The PLX-500 is ready to use straight out of the box, with a line output that allows you to connect it to your sound system or powered speakers without the need for an external amplifier. The device inherits the proven and familiar PLX-1000 layout, producing a warm, clean analogue sound. The high-torque deck is ideal for scratching and is equipped with everything you need, including a stylus, headshell and pickup. Using the USB output, you can make high-quality recordings in the free rekordbox software.
You can use the PLX-500 and the rekordbox dvs Plus Pack to play and scratch digital files when combined with compatible DJM mixers and the RB-VS1-K Control vinyl. You can choose between black (PLX-500-K) or white (PLX-500-W) versions to match your setup. The PLX 500-K and PLX 500-W will be available from September for a suggested retail price of 115,900 HUF. The PLX-500 series incorporates design elements from the professional PLX-1000 series for the quality sound you expect from vinyl. The shortest possible audio path from the needle to the outputs reduces distortion. Thanks to the phono and line outputs, you can connect directly to your sound system or active speakers to enjoy pure sound.
2. Easy digital recording
A built-in USB output makes it easy to record your vinyl collection in high-quality digital WAV format by simply connecting the PLX-500 to your PC or Mac. Digitizing your tracks is easy with the free rekordbox app, and once they’re in your rekordbox collection, you can play them anytime on the PLX-500, rekordbox dvs setup, a DDJ controller, or CDJs using USB. You can even listen to your music on your mobile phone, anywhere, anytime.

How to record your vinyl in high-quality digital format:
1. Connect the PLX-500 to your computer with a USB cable
2. Open the free rekordbox app
3. Click the Record button within the software to enter Record Standby mode
4. Press the Play button on the PLX-500. Rekordbox will start recording when the music starts and stop when it’s finished. If you record multiple tracks at once, they will automatically be recorded separately.
5. When you are finished recording, press stop. A window will appear in rekordbox where you can enter information for the tracks, such as name and artist. The tracks will then appear in your collection and you can search for them by name, artist, etc.
