Magnificent English snuff box in sterling silver and tortoiseshell, dating from the 18th century. A piece of great elegance and rarity, featuring fine hand-engraved decoration on the silver frame and amber-toned tortoiseshell panels.

Origin: England

Period: 18th century (c.1750-1790)

Material: Sterling silver 925 (marked “STERLING”) and tortoiseshell

Condition: Excellent for its age, with a beautiful patina and minor age-related signs (small defects consistent with its antiquity – see photos).
A rare collector’s item, perfect for connoisseurs of Georgian luxury objects and antique silver.
