A superb shrapnell letter opener, measuring circa 22,8cm in length and weighing 61g, fashioned from pieces of shrapnel from WW1 artillery shells. Forged Maltese cross (Eisenkreuz) guard. 

Condition: Overall in a good condition, minor wear commensurate with age. See pictures for an impression.  

This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
