Chiara Scotto Pasanisi dei Foscarini

Zilveren ringendoosje dat is uitgereikt als prijs bij the ''Women's Open fours'' van the Weybridge Rowing Club in 1924. Het doosje is vervaardigd in Sterling zilver in 1921 in Birmingham door Cornelius Saunders & Francis Shepard. Het doosje is gevoerd met een zijden voering en de deksel is aan de binnenzijde verguld.
Het deksel draagt de volgende inscriptie:

Amy Gentry was een van de belangrijkste initiatiefnemers van het vrouwenroeien in het Verenigd Koninkrijk in de jaren twintig van de vorige eeuw. Ze speelde een belangrijke rol bij de oprichting van de vrouwenafdeling van de Weybridge Rowing Club en boekte veel succes. 
Buiten het roeien werkte Amy als secretaresse van Sir Barnes Wallis, de uitvinder van de “bouncing bomb”, die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd gebruikt om de Ruhr-dam te vernietigen zoals verfilmd in de film “The Dambusters”).
Daarmee is het doosje een mooi voorbeeld van sportsmemorabilia en de opkomst van vrouwen in de roeisport een toonbeeld van ''feminist history''.

Het doosje is gemerkt met een merk voor Birmingham, the jaarletter W voor 1921, het merkteken van Cornelius Saunders & Francis Shepard, en een gehalte merk voor Sterling zilver.
