Strand made of seven gold washed silver beads with granulation work and eight rudraksha seeds from the utrasam tree (Elaeocarpus ganitrus). These rudraksha seeds have five faces or divisions (panjchaksharam, five eyed), are sacred to Shiva and features a very nice patina due have been worn by a sahdu. Late 19 th century, Tamil Nadu, Southern India.
