VINIFICATION
Inspired by old company records and essences from the thirties and forties, Soberbo Vermouth is made from white Port Wine and 18 different botanicals carefully selected and picked in Poças’ Estates in Douro Valley. This unique combination provides an original and perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness. 

TASTING NOTES
Straw yellow colour. Aromas of orange skin, tangerine, rockrose, saffron, citrus fruit, rosemary. Compelling and intense with hints of honey and botanical extracts, and a light touch of freshness and bitterness. Quite long and fresh finish.

SERVING
Ideal as an aperitif, it can be served on the rocks with an orange peel or as cocktail together with tonic water or gin. Goes specially well with green salad with tomato, cottage cheese, capers.

HISTORY
It all started in 1918, when Manoel Domingues Poças Júnior, born in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Port Wine, decided to start his own business. At about 30 years of age, Manoel Poças had some experience working in the area and, together with his uncle, he founded a company to supply brandies to major producers of Port Wine.
Years later, he established his business headquarters in Vila Nova de Gaia, where he has remained until the present day.
The entire Poças family came to share their passion for wine, combining respect for tradition with an open mind to the innovation brought by the new generations. Today, with three Quintas in the best locations in the Douro Demarcated Region, Poças has full control over the quality of its wines.
With more than 100 years of existence, Poças is currently in the hands of the 4th generation of the family, being one of the rare Port Wine companies that was born Portuguese and that continues to belong to the same family that gave rise to it and its name since its inception. its foundation. Born in 1918, the result of the hands and courage of Manoel Domingues Poças Júnior who, over time, infected the family with his knowledge and passion for the world of wine.
