Antica icona greco-ortodossa raffigurante San Giorgio che uccide il drago, con rizza in argento 900 punzonato.
Dimensioni: 21 × 14,8 × 2,7 cm - peso totale: 370 g
L’opera, databile inizio XX secolo, presenta una riza in argento (titolo .900) cesellato a mano, con superfici sbalzate, dove emergono i rilievi essenziali: il cavallo, la figura del santo e gli elementi principali del paesaggio.
La scena centrale mostra San Giorgio a cavallo nell’atto di trafiggere il drago, simbolo del male. Sullo sfondo, la principessa, salvata dal santo che uccide il drago. Nella leggenda, la principessa è stata scelta come vittima sacrificale per il drago, e San Giorgio è intervenuto per sconfiggere il mostro e salvarla. 
I volti sono impressioni.
