Bel objet ancien en bronze du Nigeria. Les Yoruba ont établi plusieurs royaumes dont celui d'Ifé. Ils ont développé un art de cour qui vit apparaitre des objets d'apparat comme celui ci. Il s'agit surement d'un emblème. Une tête de belier est représenté, finement exécuté, entouré de motifs décoratifs. L'ensemble est bien composé avec une belle présence. Le travail est fin et raffiné. C'est l'oeuvre d'un artiste aguerri. 
Ce bronze fut réalisé avec la technique de la cire perdu (voir Google) ce qui rend cette oeuvre unique. Vendu en l'état, voir photo. C'est une belle pièce de collection ancienne. Circa 1950. Socle sur mesure. La datation est donnée à titre indicatif, supportée par notre expérience.
