It is produced with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, harvested between the end of August and the beginning of September. After pressing, the grapes ferment in contact with native yeasts for about 50 days. Subsequently, the wine ages for 30 months in barriques and for another 30 months in oak barrels, before being bottled. Alzero is characterised by an intense red colour. The nose opens with an intense bouquet, with pleasant scents of ripe fruits. On the palate it is powerful, pleasantly structured and with a fruity aftertaste. Perfect to accompany first courses with truffles and roasts, it is ideal in combination with grilled red meat, game and aged cheeses.
