Art Deco-stijl / Mid-century Modern Bijzettafel.

Hoewel het ontwerp van de tafel kenmerken heeft van de Art Deco-stijl, is de constructietechniek met zichtbaar, gelaagd triplex (plywood) ook zeer karakteristiek voor de meubelontwerpen uit de Mid-century Modern-periode, waaronder de jaren 60. Het donkere mogelijk massieve hout wordt namelijk gesandwiched door lagen hout typerend aan triplex.

De tafel kan dus een vintage stuk uit de jaren 60 zijn dat is geïnspireerd op de klassieke Art Deco guéridon, maar met een moderne bouwtechniek en materiaalkeuze die typerend zijn voor die tijd. 

Hoewel triplex al veel eerder werd uitgevonden en gebruikt, klopt de associatie van zichtbaar triplex in meubelontwerp voornamelijk met de Mid-century Modern-stijl, die populair was van de jaren 40 tot de jaren 70. 

Op basis van deze informatie is het aannemelijk dat de tafel is gemaakt in de jaren 60 of een latere periode en is geïnspireerd op de Art Deco-stijl, maar met een constructie die kenmerkend is voor de Mid-century Modern-periode.
