BRAND HISTORY: Royce was a Swiss watch brand founded in 1930 by Sylvan Kocher, who also started the Eska Watch Company. The Royce brand was used primarily for export markets and was considered the more mass-market or sporting brand, while Eska focused on more high-end, stylish watches. Sylvan Kocher founded Eska in Switzerland in 1918, and the Royce brand was created in 1930. The Swiss watch brand Royce, which was active for most of the 20th century, produced a variety of chronographs. The 1970s saw Royce experiment with more colorful and distinctive case shapes, including the "TV"-style case. CONDITION: MOVEMENT - working almost perfect/single issue chrono minute counter: when passing the 60 second mark, the chrono seconds hand tends to stop/get stuck when minutes counter small hand is between the 25 and 35 minute marks, however if the crown is rotated a few times, the chrono hand unblocks continues the right movement. Otherwise, extensively tested and running 100%. Machine is very clean, no oxidation and no flaws. The ticking and balance movement is very strong and the accuracy is really excellent - the daily difference is negligible and consistent, 15 seconds max.. Seems oiled and never to have been disassembled - has no tools marks on it. The chrono push buttons are smooth and operate the chrono easily, also the reset is easily performed by the push of the lower button with all the chrono hands returning to Zero with precison and accuracy. All chrono hands, when resting in the stop reset position, point exactly to the Zero markers. Date changes correctly and very close to midnight. DIAL - original unrestored in mint vintage condition with no noticeable marks, no darkening or fading. No scratches, no cracks, no deformations, no pitting, no flaws at all. No fading or wear to the letters, scales and markings. The hour markers are in perfect condition. All markings are intact. Luminescency power is very week, but still active (tested). HANDS - All hands are original and have no flaws, no bends and no deformations. No oxidations, no scratches. No paint wear. Luminescency power is very week, but still active (tested). CASE - original unrestored showing normal light signs of use through many years a bit all over and a few more obvious marks on more exposed corners and edges, but all acceptable for it's age and matching patina (didn't want to restore the case marks - many collectors prefer this way). No scuffs, nicks or cracks. Case has no deformations, all the edges are nice and crisp. No damaged corners. Lugs have an exact 24mm opening. WINDING CROWN - seems original and shows marks on face. Edges crisp. Setting the hour perfectly. CHRONO PUSHERS - seem original, no wear, scratches or scuffs. Actuating very smoothly. BACK COVER - stainless steel engraved outside with slight fading from use, but all markings fully recognizable, as pictured. Cover has no deformations and no obvious scratches from opening tools. No dents, nicks, dings or scuffs. No oxidation marks all over. Screws easily and smooth. CRYSTAL - acrylic and polished, seems original - no obvious scratches, no cracks or chips. BAND - aftermarket of course, but top quality from Hirsch, practically as new, scarcely used, very nice. Very soft touch and flexible. No wear and no flaws. BUCKLE - same as band, mint, shiny. All perfectly clean ! PACKING & SHIPPING: Free Shipping Worldwide ! Package Includes: Item as described and carefully packed together with Catawiki Invoice. I will post Item by Express Mail System (EMS) or similar or Registered mail/Signed-for (depending on auction final price and winner's country and post demands) Worldwide (with Tracking-Number) and possibly Insured (if considered advisable and available option to winner's country).
