Pair of D 165 bookshelf loudspeakers, manufactured in 1991, two items, in very good physical condition and tested and functional.
Description from the seller
These speakers are the Jamo D 165 model, a pair of large bookshelf speakers (bookshelf/standmount, although often placed on the floor) with a 3-way design and bass-reflex enclosure, built in Denmark by the brand Jamo, roughly dating from the 1980s to the 1990s.
Key technical features
• Type: 3-way, bass-reflex (with a visible port next to the midrange driver, and tweeter protection with distinctive fins).
• Drivers/Chasis:
• Woofer/bass: 1 × ~200-250 mm (large cone at the bottom).
• Midrange: 1 × ~127 mm (cone or dome).
• Tweeter/highs: 1 × ~57 mm (with horn loading and protection).
• Allowable power: 100 W nominal (continuous) / 165 W musical (peak).
• Impedance: 8 ohms (nominal).
• Sensitivity: 94 dB (1 W / 1 m) – very high efficiency, easy to amplify and capable of high volume.
• Frequency response: 55 – 20,000 Hz.
• Crossover frequencies: approx. 1,400 Hz and 4,000 Hz.
• Dimensions: approx. 600 mm (height) × 310 mm (width) × 270 mm (depth).
• Weight: Approximately 12-15 kg per speaker (estimated).
• Finish: black vinyl, with a front baffle in gray/silver.
• Connections: simple terminals (single wiring).
They are vintage high-performance speakers focused on loudness and powerful bass, ideal for rock, pop, parties, or use with moderately powered amplifiers. Very efficient and rugged, but not the most refined in pure hi-fi (more 'fun' and energetic).
