Twee erg mooie Art Deco plantentafels / bijzettafels / Piëdestals. De twee tafels zijn geen matching stel, maar lijken wel erg veel op elkaar. Ze zijn gemaakt van eiken. Beide tafels zijn oorspronkelijk donker gebeitst geweest, maar ergens in hun bestaan zijn ze geschuurd tot blank eiken. Dit is netjes gedaan, maar hier en daar zie je nog steeds wat kleine sporen van de donklere beits. 
De afmetingen:
De hoge tafel is 85cm hoog en het blad is ongeveer 24cm x 24cm. Het gewicht is ruim 3kg.
De kleinere tafel is 75cm hoog en heeft een blad van 26cm x 26cm. Het gewicht van dit tafeltje is ruim 2,5kg.

Zoals gezegd zijn beide tafeltjes gemaakt van degelijk eikenhout met een mooie tekening (zie foto). Hier en daar zie je op de poten van het kleine tafeltje de vlammen in het hout, wat betekent dat dit hout 'vals kwartiers' is gezaagd. De zaagsnede staat dan in een hoek op de jaarringen, waardoor het hout steviger wordt (omdat je niet de kans hebt dat het op de jaarringen gaat breken of scheuren). Wanneer je hout op een vals kwartierse manier zaagt haal je minder planken uit een stam, maar die planken zijn dan wel steviger. Dit maakt dit hout duurder. Een bijkomend positief effect is, dat je mooie vlammen krijgt in eikenhout (zie foto).

De tafels hebben een strak Art Deco design zonder veel opsmuk. Waarschijnlijk zijn ze gemaakt in de jaren '30 van de vorige eeuw, maar ze zouden ook iets jonger kunnen zijn. De tafels zijn waarschijnlijk gemaakt in Nederland.

Ondanks de leeftijd zijn beide tafels nog buitengewoon stabiel. Ze zijn te gebruiken als plantentafel (erg mooi met de verschillende hoogtes), maar ook als piëdestal of bijzettafel (zie foto's). Je zou ze zelfs als kruk kunnen gebruiken, daar zijn ze stabiel en stevig genoeg voor, al zijn ze daar niet voor gemaakt.

De twee tafeltjes worden zorgvuldig ingepakt en verzekerd verzonden.
