An old Kohtan carpet Oergeuren live here. Also called East Turkestan. Turkish talking people. This runner is gallery-sized and relatively narrow, with a very fine weave. The central field features eight circular medallions in different colors with jagged contours. The pattern is very typical for Khotan. The floral ornaments are very precise and mirror-image. The main border features colorful rosettes, buds, and delicate branches. Age: around 1940. Dimensions: approx. 3.09 x 0.83 meters - Foot approx. 10.2" x 2.9". Material: Wool on cotton with mild, solid colors. Condition: Relatively good and okay (see photos). Overall impression is good and okay. An interesting decorative piece with unusual patterns and colors.
