Antiek kristallen mandje met sterling zilveren hengsel (CH – leeuwstempel) – Engeland ca. 1895–1910

Prachtig antiek kristallen mandje met een sierlijk zilveren hengsel, afkomstig uit Engeland rond 1900.
De kom is vervaardigd uit helder, handgeslepen kristal met een rijk geometrisch diamantpatroon en een fraaie sterbodem. Het zilveren hengsel is gedetailleerd afgewerkt met een parelrand en sierlijke scharnieren in bloemvorm.

Het hengsel draagt een keurmerk met de letters “CH” en de Engelse leeuw, wat duidt op sterling zilver (925/1000). Waarschijnlijk betreft dit het werk van Charles Horner, bekende zilversmid actief in Birmingham aan het einde van de 19e eeuw.

Een elegant en verfijnd stuk dat zowel decoratief als verzamelwaardig is — typisch voor de Victoriaanse/Edwardiaanse stijlperiode.
