Over de kunstenaar:
Michiel Folkers (1982), ook bekend als Gieler, begon eind jaren ’90 met graffiti in Amsterdam. Later verruilde hij de straatmuren voor canvas, maar de rauwe uitstraling en dynamiek van de stad blijven duidelijk voelbaar in zijn werk.

Zijn kunst wordt wereldwijd verzameld en tentoongesteld – van Zürich tot New York – en siert inmiddels de muren van verschillende bekende verzamelaars en beroemdheden, vooral in de Verenigde Staten.
