Leitz Leica Tabletop Tripod (14100 / TOOUG) with Early Convertible Ball Head Model D (14121 / KGOON) | Tripod

For sale is a solid and stable tabletop tripod from Leitz Wetzlar with a matching convertible ball head. The ball head is an early tall model that has no plastic parts in it like the newer ones. This version of ball head is an uncommon and a very clever one since it has both 3/8” and 1/4” threaded screws. The outer 3/8'' screw is spring-loaded and can be pressed down revealing the 1/4'' screw nested inside (see in the photos). Functionally, everything is good and the ball head works well. Cosmetically, there are signs of use including chips in the paint on the tripod legs and a scratch across the ball head due to the construction with the protruding pieces on the neck of the ball head that can come into contact with the head. See attached photos for details.
