Yonezawa Or Linemar - Toy robot Original Vintage Japanese Tinplate & Battery Operated Smoking Robot, Unboxed - 1950-1960 - Japan

Rare and spectacular Japanese tin robot made by YONEZAWA (Japan). Original from the 1960s, it is battery-operated (using 2 torch-type batteries) inserted into the respective hidden battery compartments in the robot's legs. We are talking about the most beautiful tin robot ever made: 'The Smoking Robot - SMOKING ROBOT.' You could say that this robot has been a source of inspiration for several design companies in creating decorative objects for interior design with its shape. The robot I am offering is the original Japanese model from the 50s/60s made by Yonezawa (and it bears the 'Made in Japan' inscription under the foot). It is well preserved, as you can see from the numerous photos I uploaded to the platform. It obviously shows some signs of age (a bit of rust in the battery compartments), and the leg panels have been restored/repainted. The transparent dome on the head has some veins but is still intact and is the ORIGINAL one from that era. The robot is still operational/moving and still emits smoke (not always), but every now and then, it still produces its smoke. Epic toy that needs no introduction. It is offered at auction without reserve. I have a video demonstrating how Catawiki works available on my YouTube channel upon request.
