Atmos clock - Jaeger-LeCoultre - - Nickel plated brass, Crystal - 1940-1950
Swiss brand watch, nickel plated, black dial ,JAEGER LeCOULTRE, ATMOS, series 100277, model 528-6 from 1950. The clock looks and works very well. The late 1930s, Atmos watches have always been manufactured in the same factory in the Jura Mountains of Switzerland by highly skilled watchmakers. The Atmos clock is powered by perpetual motion - it doesn't need to be manually wound. It gets the energy it needs to run from changes in temperature and atmospheric pressure in the environment and can operate for decades without human intervention. For a two-day operation, a temperature variation of only one degree between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius or a pressure variation of 3 mmHg is sufficient. The operating spring is continuously charged, being almost all the time at the maximum load limit .It will be packed properly, in 2 boxes (box in a box) for shipping.
