Fine Art high quality print on baryte photopaper, attached to a Dilite panel with aluminium hanging profile, size 60cm x 40 cm. Limited edition, only 1 for sale! Soulphotography is a well known photographer from Belgium, with +55.000 fans worldwide on Facebook. He explores abandoned locations in Europe, particulary France, Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg, ... Now he sells his first original exposition works from Buren bij Kunstenaars @ De Raat, De Familie Janssen Koffiebar,... Urban Exploration is exploring hidden abandoned castles, theatres, villas, schools, prisons, fabrics, swimmingpools, planes, car graveyards,... Abandoned places expose a dark, dramatic atmosphere with a certain mood of sadness and isolation. The emptiness and silence never fail to generate haunting visions from the past. Seeing the images makes the viewer wonder what once was and what happened. Abandoned locations are taken over by nature which claims back it's place and represent a forgotten era in our fast moving society. Most buildings were an expression of utopia in their time and are clever pieces of architecture. Now, they are decayed and forgotten, past meets future... This artistic type of photography was the best hobby in my life, it's adventurous, teamwork, storytelling and exciting. Each trip is a surprise, we travel into real time capsules. Château Lumière is a majestic chateau hidden away in a quiet town in Alsace, France. The castle was the family home of a wealthy Swiss tobacco industrial. It was built in a Neo-Baroque style in the early 1900s. They spent too much money, couldn't afford to keep the castle and left it behind in the 50's. The castle was used for business purposes after the owner left the town. It was sold numerous times, however it stood empty and abandoned since then. Lumière, light, is something that immediately catches the eye in the hall thanks to the massive light dome on the roof that provides natural light shining throughout all floors of the entire castle.. Lines that intertwine, light that follows the curves of the building and mirrors that create a parallel world. The architect of this stunning château had great vision of perspective and depth. This photo cannot be taken anymore as the castle is full of graffiti tags and vandalism, enjoy this piece of heritage, a true capture in time. This is a HQ Fine Art Print on a Dilite Panel with wall mounting at the back, ready to hang on your wall.
