Afar / Oromo Messer mit Holzgriff und Lederscheide, Äthiopien, frühes 20. Jh.
Schlankes, handgeschmiedetes Messer mit leicht konischer Klinge und einem charakteristischen, beidseitig ausladenden Griff aus hartem, dunkel patiniertem Holz. Die Klinge zeigt natürliche Altersspuren und eine gute, authentische Oberflächenpatina. Die original zugehörige Scheide besteht aus dickem, vernähtem Tierhautleder, wie bei Afar- und Oromo-Gebieten in Ost-Äthiopien üblich.
