Simone Bianchi è nato e vive a Lucca, Italia. Dopo aver lavorato per il mercato Europeo per diversi anni, ha disegnato una miniserie per la DC Comics, dal titolo SHINING KNIGHT. Ha poi realizzato molte copertine per le testate DC Comics GREEN LANTERN, BATMAN e DETECTIVE COMICS, e l’intero numero GREEN LANTERN #6.

A partire dal 2006 lavora in esclusiva per la MARVEL, su testate quali WOLVERINE, ASTONISHING X-MEN, THOR: FOR ASGARD, UNCANNY X-FORCE, THANOS RISING, NEW AVENGERS, THOR AND LOKI THE TENTH REALM. Per la MARVEL ha ridisegnato I costumi ufficiali degli X-Men.

Nel 2000, mentre insegna alla Scuola Internazionale di Comics di Firenze, una mostra dei suoi dipinti viene riassunta in “Echi”, suo primo portfolio ufficiale. Nel 2001 lavora con la Direct2Brain di Latina, specializzata in design 3D, occupandosi di sceneggiatura, storyboards e studio di personaggi per alcuni video clip di differenti artisti.

Nel 2002 viene pubblicato “THE ART OF SIMONE BIANCHI” per la Pavesio Productions. Nel 2004 esce il primo volume di EGO SUM, una storia fantascientifica scritta e disegnata da Simone, il cui secondo albo esce nel 2005 in diversi paesi Europei.

Disegna poi una miniserie per la DC Comics, dal titolo SHINING KNIGHT, su testo di Grant Morrison. Alla mostra del Fumetto di Roma del 2005 gli viene consegnato il premio “Yellow Kid” come miglior autore Italiano dell’anno. Realizza poi molte copertine per le testate DC Comics GREEN LANTERN, BATMAN e DETECTIVE COMICS, e l’intero numero GREEN LANTERN #6, su testi di Geoff Johns. Nell’Ottobre 2005 esce per la Pavesio il suo terzo Artbookl, ONIRIKA, presentato al Salone dei Comics di Lucca, per il quale dipinge il poster ufficiale.

Nel Febbraio 2006 firma un Contratto di Esclusiva con la MARVEL, dopo il quale disegna 6 albi di WOLVERINE, che comprendono il significativo numero 50, su testi di Jeph Loeb; dopo aver rinnovato il contratto nel 2007 disegna 6 numeir di ASTONISHING X-MEN, su testi di Warren Ellis. Per questo progetto gli viene affidato il compito di ridisegnare I costumi ufficiali degli X-Men, che saranno usati dalla Marvel per i 6 anni successivi nelle diverse testate dei mutanti. Nel 2008 il suo ASTONISHING X-MEN #25 va sold out e viene ristampato con una copertina totalmente nuova.

Nel 2009, ancora insieme a Jeph Loeb, dà vita al nuovo nemico di Wolverine, ROMOLUS. Nel Dicembre di quell’anno i suoi lavori sono contemporaneamente esposti al Museo di Palazzo della Penna di Perugia e alla Galérie du 9ème Art di Parigi. Nel 2010 disegna la miniserie in 6 albi THOR FOR ASGARD, scritta da Robert Rodi e l’anno successivo quella in 3 albi FEAR ITSELF: UNCANNY X-FORCE, su testi di Rob Williams.

Durante il Comic-Con quell’Estate, i suoi lavori sono esposti presso la Chuck-Jones Gallery di San Diego (California). Nel 2012 è di nuovo al lavoro insieme a Jeph Loeb su WOLVERINE. Nei 4 albi che realizzeranno, darranno vita a una nuova figura femminile vicino al mutante, REMUS, secondo personaggio creato da Simone per la Marvel. Durante il 2013 lavora alla miniserie in 5 albi THANOS RISING, che descrive lo svilupo della personalità del Titano a partire dalla nascita e dai primissimi anni di vita, su testi di Jason Aaron. In Aprile, ha luogo una mostra personale dei suoi lavori presso la Cart Gallery, nel Centro Storico di Roma.

Nel 2014 realizza 3 albi di NEW AVENGERS, su testi di Jonathan Hickman. Subito dopo, inizia il lavoro su THOR E LOKI: IL DECIMO REAME, parte del progetto ORIGINAL SIN. A Gennaio 2015 viene inaugurata una mostra dei suoi lavori presso la prestigiosa DANESE/COREY Gallery di New York (che tra gli altri ha esposto negli anni opere di Picasso, Dalì, Matisse) dal titolo “Villains and Superheroes”. Nello stesso anno vengono poi commissionate alcune copertine di STAR WARS e realizza l’albo STAR WARS #7.
