Silver Figural Dinner Bell – Germany, Hessenberg, late 19th century.

A charming solid silver figural dinner bell in the form of a girl with folded arms, wearing a traditional dress and bonnet. The bell is finely detailed and remains fully functional, producing a pleasant sound. Traces of original gilding are visible on the surface. Marked on the base with German silver hallmarks, including the crescent moon and crown (national mark), “800” for silver purity, and the maker’s mark HESSENBERG (see the last 2 photo).

•	Material: 800 silver, partly gilt

Condition: Very good, without monograms, dents, or restorations; light wear and patina consistent with age.

An attractive and collectible example of early 20th-century German silverwork. From an old European collection.
