St. Lucia 2007 13 years old Plantation - Single Cask for the Nectar - b. 2021 - 70cl

The premium rum Plantation Single Cask Saint Lucia 2007 has traveled a part of the world to offer you its unique taste. First, it matured for 10 years in the tropics in oak bourbon barrels. Then it moved to France, to the Plantation warehouses, where it matured for another 3 years in a cognac barrel. A total of 13 beautiful years. This edition was distilled to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the founding of The Nectar brand. A limited number of bottles were created and this one can be obtained for your collection. If you look at other similar bottles from the Plantation brand, you will find that there is enormous interest in single casks. Description: Rum from the tropical island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean With Plantation Single Cask rums you will discover a part of the world. This limited edition comes from St. Lucia Distillers. It was founded in 1972 by the merger of the Barnard family’s Dennery distillery with the Geest family’s Roseau Bay operation. After a protracted succession of assets, St. Lucia Distillers was finally acquired in 2009 by Martinique-based Spiribam, owner of the Rhum Clemént and Rhum J.M. brands. The rums are made here on four stills. Two are John Dores installed in 1998 and 2005. One is a Vendome imported from Trinidad Distillers in 2003 and the original two-column McMillan from 1985. The Plantation brand that went its own way… The uniqueness of Plantation rums lies in the double maturation. First, they rest in American oak barrels, mostly ex-bourbon. The tropical climate of their homeland allows for the more aggressive, volatile vapors to be released more quickly in young rums. They then travel to France, where they are matured in French oak cognac barrels. Plantation Single Cask rums are limited edition double-aged rums. All Plantation rums undergo a two-stage maturation process, starting in the tropics, where they are matured in bourbon barrels. Then at Château de Bonbonnet in France, where they are matured in Ferrand barrels. Plantation Single Cask rums then benefit from further maturation in carefully selected beer, wine or spirits barrels, each chosen to enhance the rum’s unique characteristics. Each Single Cask rum follows its own path of aging to greatness. Each bottle is personalized and numbered. Only a few barrels of these unique rums are bottled each year, making them a collector’s item. Bottle number 173
