The first-generation Canon F-1 was released in March 1971, with serial numbers starting from the 100000 range. This particular F-1, with serial number 132554, belongs to one of the earliest production batches from 1971. Both the camera and the lens were professionally disassembled and serviced by a technician. Most classic cameras exported from Japan are not properly maintained. It is quite rare to find a camera that has been thoroughly serviced, including accurate shutter speed measurement. The following maintenance work has been carried out: Disassembly cleaning of the Focusing Screen and lens. Adjustment and calibration of the shutter speed.
