Très belle et ancienne Statue Tellem des DOGON du MALI.
Attitude caractéristique, debout et les bras levés.
Bois à  patine croûteuse claire d'usage.
Hauteur 68 cm.
Base érodée par son ancienneté, surtout dans sa partie basse ( jambes et socle)
Forme trés géométrique et anguleuse , cou et ombilic proéminent.
Le visage montre des yeux ronds exorbités et une bouche un peu projetée en avant.
La statue est en bon etat.
Les Tellem (« ceux qui étaient avant nous », selon l'expression des Dogons) sont un peuple qui vivait au Mali, dans la falaise de Bandiagara, dans ce qui deviendra le Pays Dogon.
