- Shipment held at customs

2. Delivery delays or worst-case scenario: return shipment
If the recipient fails to submit the tax code within the deadline
The item risks being returned or destroyed (especially if left unclaimed for an extended period)

3. Requirement to pay customs duties and VAT
Even for personal EMS shipments not treated as commercial, VAT (Value Added Tax) and customs duties may be imposed if the item's value is high.
In such cases, the tax code may also be required for tax payment.

If you do not provide a tax code, we may ship without one (due to shipping deadlines).
In such cases, we apologize, but the buyer must handle customs clearance themselves.

Japanese Carpenter’s Plane (Kanna) – Tetsugyu – Traditional Woodworking Tool

This is a traditional Japanese woodworking plane (kanna).
The body is made of sturdy white oak (shirakashi), which becomes smoother and fits comfortably in the hand with use.
The blade is signed “Tetsugyu (鉄牛)”, forged by a skilled Japanese blacksmith.
It is a single laminated blade made by forge-welding high-carbon steel to soft iron, offering excellent sharpness and durability.
The label on the body depicts a craftsman and bears the mark “Dogyu (土牛)”.

Blade width: approx. 5.5 cm
Weight: approx. 882 g

Condition:
There are minor scratches and rust on the metal parts consistent with use and age, but overall it remains in good condition.
A fine piece suitable for both practical use and display.
Please sharpen and adjust the blade before use.
