Bijzonder en karakteristiek Schwarzwälder klokkenmannetje, een mechanische klok in de vorm van een staande heer met hoed, afkomstig uit het Zwarte Woud (Duitsland). De figuur is uitgevoerd in zwaar gietijzer en rijkelijk met de hand beschilderd in rood, blauw, geel en zwart.

Het uurwerk is verwerkt in het lichaam van de man, met een metalen wijzerplaat met Romeinse cijfers op zijn borst. 
In één hand houdt hij een wandelstok en aan zijn zij hangt een kleine sleutel aan een ketting. 
Dit type figuren werd geproduceerd in Zuid-Duitsland aan het begin van de 20e eeuw en stond symbool voor vakmanschap en humor in de klokmakers traditie van het Zwarte Woud.

Het uurwerk is aanwezig maar werkt niet meer (staat stil en dient gereviseerd te worden). 
Desondanks is het object visueel compleet en charmant als decoratief verzamelstuk.

Symbolische betekenis:
Het Schwarzwälder klokkenmannetje verwijst naar de ambachtelijke trots van de Zwarte Woud-klokkenmakers. De klok op de borst symboliseert de tijd als hart van het leven, terwijl de humoristische houding de menselijke omgang met tijd en vergankelijkheid weerspiegelt.

Conditie:
Goede antieke staat – lichte verfschilfers en patina, uurwerk niet functioneel, verder stabiel en compleet.

Hoogte: 38 cm.
Breedte: 20 cm.
Diepte: 12 cm.
Gewicht: 2,3 kg.

De kavel wordt zorgvuldig verpakt en aangetekend, verzekerd verzonden met een track-en-tracé-nummer.
