AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

P. Mariette, Planisphère du Globe Céleste

Paris 1650.

In original color.

A scarce celestial double hemisphere illustrating the constellations of both hemispheres. Between the spheres appear the portraits of T. Brahe and F. In each corner, four allegorical figures are depicted with surveying instruments, and explanatory text in French is placed beneath the hemispheres. Rare!

Dimensions: 38 x 45 cm (engraving), 44,5 x 58 cm (paper).

Good condition, white upper margin with light stains.

Attention for US buyers: Due to recent postal restrictions shipping to the US can only be done by DHL, therefore higher shipping costs apply!
