Dibujante, ilustrador y pintor, prolífico autor de portadas para revistas y literatura de quiosco e ilustraciones tanto para el mercado nacional como para el extranjero.

Albert Pujolar nace en el seno de una familia pudiente de la Barcelona alta. Su padre ocupaba el puesto de secretario de Joan Comorera, conseller de Agricultura de la Generalitat republicana. Su madre era la secretaria de su marido.

A los pocos días de nacer Albert, sus padres se ven obligados a huir a Francia al enterarse de que el marido va a ser arrestado y condenado a muerte. El niño queda con sus abuelos paternos en Hostalrich, donde pasará la mayor parte de su infancia. Sus padres acaban en un campo de concentración en Argelès-sur-Mer, donde su padre permanecería durante siete años; no así su madre, que logró abandonar el campo gracias a sus influencias. Tras dar a luz a una niña, decide dejarla junto a Albert al cuidado de sus propios padres, de origen humilde y trabajador (su abuela fue modista del Liceo), por lo que Albert regresa a Barcelona para vivir con ellos, y con ellos viviría hasta su boda, a los veinticinco años.

Albert Pujolar estudió en el colegio nacional de la calle San Pablo, el Collazo y Gil, pero a los seis años, y gracias a su tío, ingresa en La Salle Condal, donde permanece hasta los catorce años. A los quince comienza a trabajar como meritorio en un despacho.

Albert confiesa no saber a ciencia cierta cómo descubre sus habilidades artísticas, ya que recuerda desde bien niño refugiarse en el dibujo para olvidarse de su entorno, lo que no pasa inadvertido en la escuela, donde se le pone al cargo de decorar las pizarras en el mes de María y los decorados de las obras teatrales.

Autodidacta, pasaba los veranos en el Barrio Gótico barcelonés realizando dibujos, lo que le hace aprender las bases de la perspectiva. Gracias a Enrique Badía Romero, que era su vecino, comienza a ilustrar cromos sobre el espacio y posteriormente empieza a trabajar en el estudio en que Jorge Badía y Enrique trabajaban, en la calle Secretario Coloma esquina con la avenida del General Mitre.

A través de un familiar emparentado con los hermanos Bruguera consigue entrevistarse con Rafael González, que le dice que su trabajo no es bueno pero que le da una oportunidad por haber sido enviado por un familiar. Es así como Albert llega al estudio de Bruguera de República Argentina, donde realiza cinco o seis series de Bisonte, de 35-36 páginas cada una. Tenía 18 años y trabajaba para Bruguera por las tardes mientras por la mañana realizaba el servicio militar.

Pujolar no estaba satisfecho realizando historietas, por lo que pide a Lluís Casamitjana, director del estudio, el poder realizar las portadas. Casamitjana accedió a que lo intentara y, contento con la primera, ya no volvió a realizar historietas.

Prolífico en su obra, llegó a ilustrar tres portadas por semana para la colección de bolsilibros y dos portadas semanales para Creaciones Editoriales. Paralelamente, Casamitjana le consigue trabajo para Inglaterra realizando ilustraciones para cómics bélicos y para diversas revistas, entre ellas Valentine. Alternativamente realiza portadas para Vértice, Molino, AFHA, Mateu, y cromos de Rin-Tin-Tin para Marco. A continuación comienza a trabajar en ilustraciones románticas para Bardon Art y posteriormente para Selecciones Ilustradas, trabajando desde casa.

Dada su falta de relación personal con los compañeros del estudio, a los que sólo veía cuando acudía al estudio de Diagonal, se gana el apodo de "el alemán" por firmar su trabajo para este país bajo el seudónimo de "Schöller".

Cofundó el Club de Tenis Pedralbes junto al matrimonio Sánchez Benito, padres de los tenistas Sánchez Vicario. Abandona la ilustración para montar un negocio de baños galvánicos que fracasa, lo que hace que un año después regrese con Toutain, para el que continúa ilustrando portadas y también una edición ilustrada de la Biblia. Trabaja para Warren brevemente, conociendo al propio Warren cuando éste le visita en su casa en Sitges junto a Miralles. Tras abandonar la ilustración, se concentra en la pintura y realiza su primera exposición con Pepe, Miralles, Félix Mas y Petronius en el catálogo Color 6. Su siguiente exposición sería en Barcelona en la Sala Gaudí. Actualmente sigue trabajando en lo que ha sido su ilusión, la pintura.
